In September 2021, I was on a short sabbatical asking God where to next. I had just resigned from what had seemed like a dream job, but realising that the leadership culture was not a healthy fit for me, armed with courage and deep conviction that God was fearless and I needed to wait in His instruction.

Wise people are builders — they build families, businesses, communities. And through intelligence and insight their enterprises are established and endure. Because of their skilled leadership, the hearts of people are filled with the treasures of wisdom and the pleasures of spiritual wealth.

I was so excited, I called a meeting with our home Citygate Church pastors and so began my journey into the marketing and building of the Citadel Glenwood Co Work Space and brand creating a variety of community driven events and workshops.
Since October 2021 we have created, hosted and/or engaged in the following events:
- Social Compact Conversation and Harvest Table Lunch
- Alchemy Box Workshop
- Journal Workshop
- R50 Christmas Market
- Gin and Jewellery Evening (supporting 031 Gin and Miinnella Jewellery)
- Classical Jazz Recital
- R50 March Market
- Beer and Burger Evening (supporting local brewer That Brewing Co)
- Bullet Journalling Workshop
- Hosted various corporate training sessions
In essence my role has been to market the space to facilitate diverse conversations, build awareness of local Glenwood brands and initiatives, creating events that are inspiring and affordable for people to support in a way that builds a culture of preloved, home and heart made products and services.
We are trusting the process to embark on small business development journey in order to see strengthen and empower every business to function in its full potential and capacity and to make Glenwood one of the most proudly community centric and resourceful, beautiful and harmonious suburbs to live in, in Durban!!!
